Hubby has always had an obsession with Indians. If we ever pass a store selling Indian headdresses, we just have to stop and see how much it is. But the real ones are hundreds of dollars so that’s probably never gonna happen.
Once back in college he and his roommates did a “family” photoshoot. The year before it was glam shots, and so that year they did like a cowboys and Indians type thing. My hubs dressed up in a little loin cloth and made his own headdress. Oh, boys…
So this shirt caught hubby’s eye as he helped me shop and I decided to get it. Now we can wear couple T’s if we want to.

Made these for my book club over the weekend.
Anyone else do a book club? In my experience, they are just excuses to get together, have “mature” conversation, and make/eat fun food.
This time we did a Cafe Rio salad bar (it’s connected to the book), which was so fun. I made the crispy tortilla strips. If there is one thing I crave from my Utah days it’s the food. Here’s to hoping they have a Cafe Rio in Cali.
But on top of the crispy tortilla strips, I also made a dessert. Unneeded, because there were like 4 huge desserts for the 8 or so people but…no one complained, especially not me lol.

Happy Friday ya’ll~~
I had such a monotonous week and was thinking how boring my life is right now. But yesterday I finished this book for my book club called “Heaven is Here” by Stephanie Nielson. Oh my. How my perspective has changed.
It’s the story of how she went through a horrific plane crash and over 80% of her body was burned. She would dream of things like swimming or running, or even just being able to button her child’s jacket, and then wake up and realize she couldn’t do any of that. She dictates all of her feelings really well, and I was able to realize how blessed I am, and how many simple joys there are in life.
And today is a gorgeous Friday here in Oklahoma, so I am so excited for today and the rest of the weekend! Tomorrow we go to the city!
I’ve been tracking my nails over the past few weeks. Strange that one year ago I had absolutely no interest in nails. I hadn’t done them in literally years, it just seemed like a waste of time for some reason. But look at me now, lol. These are basically my monthly rotation, I love these polishes:
1. Butter London Kerfluffle
2. Butter London Fiver
3. Butter London Wallis
4. OPI Liquid Sand Honey Ryder
So these are basically just a standard truffle inside of a brownie layer, dipped in chocolate.
They are so great to make as small gifts; I made them this time for hubby’s Valentine’s chocolate box and they were both his and my favorite.
You can see my chocolate box and the recipe over my food blog: Korean Mutt
This was the starter I made for our Valentine’s Day dinner.
Hubby LOVES smoked salmon so this was his favorite dish and he kept sneaking bites while I was still making it.

I had an amazing weekend. The hubs and I drove all the way down to College Station, TX to visit an old friend of mine. We met in Korea when I was an exchange student at his university and he came to the US of A just for a month, so of course I had to make the trip to visit him…when else will we be in the same hemisphere?? The weather was amazing down in TX and I think we brought it back with us because it was in the 80′s here yesterday! Hubby and I took a drive to the nearby lake to enjoy it.
I’ve been loving the high-waisted swimsuits coming out lately. I got this one from Beverly Swimwear.
I adore this shop! I was looking around for a good swimsuit before I found them, but it’s so hard to shop for a swimsuit online because I’m very particular! I’m super flat, so I like some help in that area…but even if I find a padded swimsuit it’s usually not a design I like. So I was thinking that maybe I could put in my own pads, but it’s hard to tell online if the swimsuit has an opening for that!
Well, the awesome thing about Beverly is that they are almost like your own personal tailor. Everything is made to order, so you choose the design then choose what fabric you want. My favorite design was this one, and I was tempted to get the exact one in the picture but I decided I wanted something slightly more conservative…so I just told them exactly what I wanted and they whipped it up! I asked beforehand about the whole chest thing…so they sent me a top without cups so that I could slip in my own AND I asked for an XS top and a S bottom (I’ve got a bit of a badonkadonk), no problem.
I was going back and forth between leopard or stripes. Did I make a good choice?
Happy Valentine’s Day!!
I got a hair cut yesterday and I was so happy with how she decided to style it, it went with my V-day outfit perfectly :):):)
And I love this flowy shirt so much! I can’t tell you how many flowy shirts I have…lol. This one is perfect because it’s not too low-cut and I love how it’s fitted around my womanly area (lol) but just the slightest bit of baggy towards the bottom.
Also hubby let me take out my V-day gift early as you can see…instead of flowers this is what I get. I literally haven’t bought a new perfume since like 2006. I love the dainty scent of this one.
